1. What lovely weather! Morning walks really are [cdb]the best.
  2. Huh? Is that Ashe?
  3. I thought it was you! What are you doing out [cdb]and about so early?
  4. Morning, Annette.
  5. I've been teaching some of the townspeople how to [cdb]read and write, as well as some basic math skills.
  6. We were all so into it we didn't notice the time [cdb]slipping away, and now...it's suddenly morning.
  7. Wow, that's so good of you, Ashe! What made you decide to do that?
  8. When I went into town earlier, I found a merchant [cdb]selling medicine at outrageous prices.
  9. But people were all snapping it up without even [cdb]questioning it.
  10. Well, I couldn't just stand by and watch it happen, [cdb]so I called a couple folks over to show them the math.
  11. A few more people came over, then a few more, [cdb]and before I knew it, I found myself becoming [cdb]their teacher.
  12. That is so you! But seriously, I think it's amazing.
  13. If you ever decide to break out the chalk again, I'd love to help.
  14. You can handle reading and math and stuff, [cdb]and I'll teach 'em magic and history!
  15. Really? That would be great!
  16. I enjoy studying a lot, but I don't think I'm very good [cdb]at actually instructing people.
  17. Well, they are two completely different things.
  18. Speaking of which, didn't Lord Lonato teach you [cdb]your letters and numbers?
  19. Yes, although my father showed me some basic [cdb]arithmetic as well.
  20. Lonato always used to say that study is the path [cdb]to one's own morality.
  21. What does that mean?
  22. Well, there's no universal rules for what's right and [cdb]what's wrong, you know?
  23. So you have to find your own morality. Something [cdb]you can believe in and stick to, no matter what.
  24. He also said a person needs knowledge and education [cdb]to make that happen.
  25. Hmm. I suppose knowledge does grant the power to [cdb]make sound judgments.
  26. I mean, I saw everything differently once I started attending the school of sorcery and [cdb]the Officers Academy.
  27. Most of the people here lack the means to attend [cdb]such institutions, but they still contend with danger [cdb]and lies on a daily basis.
  28. I want to give them the tools to see their way clear [cdb]of that.
  29. So I guess that's why I'm teaching them.
  30. I want to meet them as an equal. Not as a knight [cdb]of Faerghus, but as someone who knows exactly [cdb]what they're going through.
  31. That's incredible, Ashe. I think I could learn a [cdb]thing or two from you, too.
